One week ago today we got to experience the most magical day honoring our leader at the 1st Annual Gibber Open! All that were able to be a part of it knows just how special of a day it was and we thank you over and over for sharing it with us! We know the Gib was there in spirit smiling down on all of us!

We kick started our day with 18 holes at the Framingham Country Club, shared some laughs with the great Lenny Clark in between, and ended with an auction of items and trips that were hard to pass up. We were happy to have our Lt. Governor attend to say a couple special words about Kevin and the time she spent working and attending countless events together over the years. It was great to have her share such a special day with us.

Not only was it a day full of fun, it was also a huge success! We chose the proceeds from the event to be donated to the Herren Project, and it truly was a great turnout. What is the Herren Project? Chris Herren, founder the Herren Project, was a local basketball legend from Fall River that got caught up in addiction only to see his dreams thrown away. However, Chris’ dreams have changed. He now spends his time educating the dangers of substance abuse to people and families all over. A true hero. To learn more about Chris, please visit www.heroesinrecovery.com

It was our 1st Annual Gibber Open and it will not be our last! We look forward to honoring the big guy each and every year, and welcome everyone to share it with us. He was such a special guy, and there’s no better way to show that legends never die.
