Brendon Properties is currently working on developing a new active community that will serve the older population of adults in Framingham, Massachusetts. This residential community will be designated for residents 55 years and older along with an assisted living component. It is slated to be built on the site of the former Marist Retreat Center. The craftsmanship and attention to detail of this new signature community is sure to raise the bar in the over 55 lifestyle.
A New Home
The Marist Retreat Center, formerly a retirement and retreat center for Marist priests, has remained vacant since 2011. The purchase of this property and the development of new town homes will be an important asset to the community. The neighborhood is tight knit and an excellent location for an active 55 and up development. We bring quality, commitment, and exceptional craftsmanship to each of our communities and will continue to do so with this brand new community.
The retreat center itself is beyond rehabilitation, so it will be demolished and replaced with new high-end development specifically crafted for the 55 plus lifestyle. Brendon Properties values open space and we intend to include gardens, trails and natural space throughout the site. The entire site is 37.5 acres and will lend well to the new high-end design.
Our team will partner with another organization to administer the assisted living component. This new signature community will provide an opportunity to those in an underserved population in Framingham. With our vast experience in crafting developments throughout the Framingham area as well as previous active adult communities, we are confident that we can build an excellent community that will serve the needs of older adults, while allowing them to remain active in their broader local community.
At Brendon Properties we are excited about this new development and look forward to working with the surrounding neighborhood to transform a vacant building and site into attractive and remarkable community. Framingham is an excellent community and this new development will all offer more housing opportunities for those that wish to stay in Framingham during retirement. Building this community will enhance our Framingham neighborhood by making use of an otherwise unusable space and drawing in active retired adults. We look forward to all of the possibilities!
